Night School by SheSays is a short-form online content series that allows the SheSays community to learn from unexpected guides and mentor with real life experience of the skills they are teaching. Through pre-recorded lessons, worksheets and homework, Night School participants are tutored by people who’ve mastered their craft, overcome common challenges and want to pass on their knowledge to help more women and non-binary people succeed in their careers. I was approached to help realise the visual direction of the project as the aesthetic needed to be alternative, witch-inspired and nocturnal.

Avril Anderson guides women from survival to sovereignty as they recognise, rewire, and regulate in order to realign with their truth. I worked with Avril to identify a brand strategy and design to support her in the next incarnation of her work. Begining with a period of deep research in order to set a cohesive and potent brand direction, Avril and I then worked to create a visual identity that is a manifestation of the business and also has the flexibility to grow as the offerings develop.

The Resolution of my Graphic Design MA explores the relationship between the image of the witch in pop culture and society's representation of women. Amicus Maleficarum was designed to explore the root of stereotypes of women, witches and feminists in order to debunk the harmful narratives and create an accessible guide and introduction to feminism. The goal was to subvert something hateful and destructive towards women, witches and the other in society into something inclusive and supportive. This research through design is an exploration in using graphic design to communicate feminism with a new lens and broaden wider understanding of the topic.

Kelly Hughes is a Fashion and Textile MA participant at the University of Portsmouth. They required a visual identity to create consistency across their printed materials as they presented their work for final submission. Kelly’s work is a blend of craft, sustainability and feminist narratives and pushes back against fast fashion by embracing imperfection and inviting community collaboration. I worked with Kelly to create a personal brand that told the story of Kelly’s MA journey which centred around sustainability, gendered stereotypes and constant creative experimentation.

Summon: Witchcraft for Acceptance, Resistance and Reclaimation is a series of three zines created for Love Reclaimed by The Corner Collective gallery in Portsmouth, UK. As part of the Portsmouth Pride 2025 events, Love Reclaimed centred around the theme of queer love being an act of radical resistance in a world that continuously tries to define love within heteronormative frameworks. I created a three part zine series exploring the intersections between self love and reclaiming your identity with Queer Love and Trans Love (both love between Trans people but also a love for the Trans community that is facing intense prejudice) and the image of the witch.

Eventyrlysten: Discovering Joy in Norway is my response to the International Society of Typographic Designers Student Assessment 2024. The brief centred around the idea of 'Joybringers' and focused on how in an increasingly tense and anxious world, the need for joy to improve mental health and well-being is more essential than ever. The brief was clear that not only should personal Joybringers be explored, but also promoted and supported with evidence and lived experience. The audience should feel encouraged and inspired by a typographic tour-de-force to embrace the Joybringers explored.
